Arpan Dey
Arpan Dey is a physics undergraduate and science writer from India. He is deeply passionate about physics and science in general. He has published some of his science articles with Young Scientists Journal, and works as an editor there. He has published a popular science book on physics, consciousness and the fundamental nature of reality. He founded the Journal of Young Physicists, aiming to create a platform for young students to publish their physics articles.
Shiven Arora
Shiven Arora is a secondary school student from the UK and is very passionate about theoretical physics. He enjoys reading articles about space and philosophy. In his spare time, he likes to play tennis and lots of other sports.
Elizabeth Field
Elizabeth Field is a rising high school senior at Monticello High School in Charlottesville, VA. In college and as a career, she wishes to study physics, namely theoretical, quantum, particle, nuclear, or solid state. She is also passionate about international politics, writing, and unsolved mathematics. Aside from that, she is intrigued by anything exhibiting ambiguity. Besides academics, she is an active member of her community, an athlete, and a lifeguard.
Hazal Kara
Hazal Kara is a junior at Hisar School in Istanbul, Turkey. Her main passions are science and literature. In science, she loves particle physics and cosmology. She also likes mathematics, computer science, and materials science. She is in the process of researching third generation solar cells and how their efficiency can be improved. Aside from science, Hazal is an avid reader and writer of short fiction.
Kavya Pullanoor
Kavya Pullanoor is a high school sophomore from Mumbai, India. She is interested in product designing, environmental studies, technology, science and mathematics. She has always been passionate about learning new things and applying them in real life. She wishes to utilize her skills and knowledge for the benefit of mankind. In her free time, she loves reading, writing and researching.
Samiha Sehgal
Samiha Sehgal is a passionate and dedicated student, pursuing her Master’s in particle and nuclear physics at The University of Edinburgh. She wishes to use her knowledge of physics in the industry, for both commercial and scientific use. She maintains a positive attitude and tries to face all adversities well. An eager learner with a curious mind, she loves finding herself outside her comfort zone. Having said this, she is ready to unleash her potential into action.
Chinmay Pala
Chinmay Pala is a high-school sophomore studying in Kendriya Vidyalaya, Mahe, India. He is an acumen boy with a curious mind, and is captivated by science. He is passionate about science, and believes that nothing should be left undefined or undiscovered. He joined the Journal of Young Physicists, since he wants to communicate science to a larger audience and help others who are also curious about science.
Satyam Sharma
Satyam Sharma is a Californian high school student with a passion for astrophysics and theoretical mathematics. He’s an active learner, both through his work in research (independent and mentor-based) as well as his involvement in school clubs and extra-curriculars. You can often find Satyam on a Zoom call nowadays.
Parmin Sedigh
Parmin is a rising sophomore from Ontario, Canada. She loves learning about everything and anything but her passions lie in the sciences - specifically biology. She also plays clarinet and guitar, and is going to be part of a STEM program called TKS this year. She loves to speak French, and is also a part of an organization called The Young Writers Initiative that helps young writers proof read and edit their books.

Sarthak Jain is a high school student and is very passionate about physics and technology. He has an entrepreneur mindset and looks to solve global problems by integrating business and technology.
Krishnasri Gollakota
Krishnasri Gollakota is a fresh physics graduate from Ramnarain Ruia College, Mumbai. She is extremely passionate about physics. She enjoys observing the beauty of the universe through physics. Her other interests include philosophy, mathematics, teaching, writing, fine arts, music, learning new languages, etc.. She is also a keen nature lover. She hopes to do her bit for the physics community.
Kian Jagtiani
Kian Jagtiani is a rising high school senior from Bangalore, India who is fascinated by theoretical astrophysics, particle physics and quantum mechanics. He frequently interns at companies related to aerospace such as Team Indus and NASA JPL and is even working on a project to make instantaneous inter-planetary communication possible. In his free time, you can find him playing table tennis, basketball, bowling, snooker, gaming, or listening to music.
Aniruddha Sharma
Aniruddha is a high school graduate from India. He is passionate about physics (mainly quantum mechanics) and mathematics (mainly geometry). He also has interests in quantum computing. He is passionate about science communication and wants to pursue pure mathematics in the future.
Leonhard Nagel
Leonhard Nagel is a student at the International School of Tianjin. He is interested in a variety of fields, including but not limited to aerodynamics, electromagnetism, quantum physics and quantum information.
Anav Vaidya
Anav Vaidya is currently studying in 12th Grade in Vikhe Patil Memorial School in Pune, India. Outside of his studies he enjoys reading, writing short articles and poems, is an avid listener of the Lex Fridman podcast series and loves playing the piano and cycling.
Srijanita Maurya
Srijanita Maurya, 18, based in Uttar Pradesh, India, is the Founder of the youth led organization named "The Animal Patronage" which works for animal welfare. She is a TEDx Speaker and Youth Animal Activist. This year she was recognized by President George Bush's foundation Points of Light Inspiration Honor Roll and by famous American singer and author Lady Gaga's organization Channel Kindness. She is a Harvard Innovation fellow and is currently into building AI device for stopping animal killing during road accidents.
Dhruv Hegde
Dhruv Hegde is a current high school sophomore student and an aspiring experimental physicist and entrepreneur. Recently, he founded the NSSEA (National Student Society of Experimental Astrophysics) in order to help more students get access to research opportunities in physics, engineering, and computer science. As the head of two other organizations as well, Dhruv hopes to leave his impact on the scientific world and help individuals garner a keen interest in the astrophysical community.

Sharika Dhakappa is an undergraduate student pursuing physics at MES Abasaheb Garware College, Pune, India. She is passionate about physics and mathematics and has a keen interest in astronomy and astrophysics. She enjoys learning new things. Sanchari, 19, is an undergraduate physics student at St. Xavier's College, Kolkata, India. Abhi Raj is a physics graduate from Delhi University. His study of physics began in his high school years with relativity and the fundamental natural processes that surround us. He has presented several papers virtually at worldwide conferences and published several research articles. He firmly believes that his future depends entirely on the hard work he puts in today. Deeshani Mitra
Deeshani holds a master's degree in astrophysics from St. Xavier’s College, Kolkata, India. She is deeply engaged in research fields such as black hole tidal environments, observational general relativity, and gamma-ray bursts. In addition to her academic pursuits, she enjoys playing basketball, staying active, and reading literature books. With a specific interest in numerical relativity and black hole perturbation theory, Deeshani's work contributes to advancing our understanding of the universe. Her well-rounded interests and dedication to astrophysics underscore her commitment to both her studies and personal growth. She is also a member of the Astronomical Society of India. Deeshani has attended several peer-reviewed conferences, further enriching her knowledge and fostering collaboration within the scientific community.
Miles Qvale
Miles Qvale is in his second year of A Levels, studying physics, maths, further maths, and Japanese. Originally from the US, Miles is currently living in London.
Raktim Mukherjee
Raktim Mukherjee has graduated with a B.Sc. Physics (Hons.) from St. Xavier’s College, Kolkata. His dissertation is on the application of MLP in CBM under the supervision of Prof. Subhasis Chattopadhyay, currently the Program-Director, Indo-FAIR Co-ordination Centre (IFCC) and Deputy Spokesperson of CBM and Dr. Subhankar Ghosh. He has also completed a summer project in VECC relating to the applications of ML in ALICE and CBM. He has published his notes on particle physics as a handbook titled An Undergrad's Notes on Particle Physics.

Mohamed Abdelghani, a senior at STEM High School for Boys, Egypt, has a deep passion for physics and neuroscience. His dedication to research is clear through his numerous projects, some of which have been published, recognized with awards, and have secured funding. Mohamed is determined to pursue a double major in physics and neuroscience for his undergraduate studies.

Sarthak Talukdar is a physics major undergraduate at the Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bengaluru. He is mainly interested in theoretical high energy physics and aspects of quantum gravity.
Rain Jha
Rain Jha is a Grade 11 International Baccalaureate student at The British School, New Delhi. In 2023, he was a summer research intern with the Department of Astrophysics at the Raman Research Institute in Bangalore, India. Participating in the International Astronomical Search Collaboration, NASA’s Citizen-Science project, Rain has made three preliminary discoveries analyzing 15 original datasets from Pan-STARRS telescope, Hawaii. He was in the top 10% of candidates globally at the 2023 International Astronomy and Astrophysics Competition. In the summer of 2022, he participated in the residential Astrophysics programme of the Center for Talented Youth, Johns Hopkins University, at Skidmore College, New York. Rain set up The Space Sciences Club at The British School in New Delhi that introduces, as part of the school’s enrichment program, astrophysics to middle and high-school students.
Shibangshu Sen
Shibangshu Sen is currently an undergraduate student of physics at St. Xaviers College, Kolkata. From an early age, he has been fascinated by physics through popular science shows, encyclopedias and documentaries. Studying in college diversified his general interest in physics into other domains such as quantum mechanics, condensed matter physics and electronics. Shibangshu was a member of Zooniverse Citizen Scientist - CloudSpotting on Mars and undertook a Remote Sensing Course. He is adept in computational physics, having used it to solve numerous problems related to his lab coursework as well as research internships. He is an INSPIRE fellow and was also a summer research intern at S. N. Bose National Centre for Basic Sciences (SNBNCBS), Kolkata, where he studied graphite - analyzing the properties of graphite as well as its application in sensors. He is also interested in semiconductors - how the chips are synthesized, the logic behind them and the logistical issues. Currently he is pursuing a dissertation project in the field of active matter in his college. Apart from physics, he also loves to read detective novels, watch sports and has a slight fascination with photography.
Debanujan Nath
Debanujan Nath is currently pursuing a master's degree in physics from Ramakrishna Mission Vivekananda Educational and Research Institute, Howrah. He is an aspiring experimental physicist and passionate writer. He has worked on the hydrothermal synthesis of CdS Thin Films using Cd(ac)2 and Thiourea in Dr. Shamima Hussain's Chemical Synthesis Group at the UGC DAE CSR Kalpakkam Node, Tamil Nadu. He has also worked on exploring drying droplets via pattern formation under the supervision of Dr. Tapati Dutta, St. Xavier's College, Kolkata.
